Head Concierge (Bentall Centre)

Salary: £28,000.00 pa

Working days: Monday – Sunday (5 days per week)

Shift patterns: Varying between the following times: 09.00hrs – 21.00hrs

                          Average of 36 hours per week

JOB PURPOSE

Lead the team to provide a welcoming, informative and efficient customer experience to the Centre. Work closely with the Centre management team to ensure the service is an exceptional and memorable experience for all. Lead by example, develop and mentor a team to provide high levels of service delivery. Demonstrate and share the client’s passion for high level service delivery at the Centre.

 

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Lead by example – Assist customers in a polite, courteous and professional manner and ensure personal presentation is always to a high standard.
  • Oversee the management of concierge team
  • Suggest and implement new ideas to continually improve customer experience
  • Work to agreed KPI’s and motivate the concierge team
  • Be responsible for ensuring the day to day delivery of the customer experience is smooth, professional, friendly and efficient.
  • Continually assess and suggest new ways of delivering service excellence.
  • Work both proactively and reactively to deliver the best service and customer experience
  • Carry out and oversee the delivery of mobile concierge services, assisting customers with general enquiries such as directions, suggestions on places to eat and general customer queries
  • Ensure processes and protocols are followed always and new ways of working are suggested that introduce service enhancements but adhere to security protocols and processes
  • Operations and the contract agreement with the client, including, but not limited to, procedural manuals, training manuals, training matrix and customer information for use in client reports. Ensure these are regularly reviewed and an approval system for updates is in place
  • Have full knowledge of the Centre and ensure you lead by example and effectively administer the training for the onsite concierge team
  • Produce a monthly report providing information and statistics which the client can use to demonstrate levels of service delivered and areas of improvement or enhancements that can be made to the customer experience
  • Demonstrate a one team approach with all other service suppliers to the Centre
  • Oversee standards of service delivery in specified customer touch points

  • Ensure high levels of housekeeping are always kept
  • Assist the Head Concierge and client with the management and administration of concierge services at the Centre

  • Carry out hosting duties, working as a team to enhance the customer journey at the Centre
  • Where possible escort customers to escalators and key landmarks in the Centre
  • Carry out mobile concierge duties, assisting customers with general enquiries such as directions, suggestions on places to eat and general customer queries
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments at OC Head Office and with the client
  • Work proactively and anticipate the needs of the client and customers to the Centre
  • Continually strive to deliver the best service and suggest new and innovative ways of working
  • Have full knowledge of the Centre and all facilities it has to offer. Communicate this knowledge to customers in a professional and informative manner.
  • Work proactively and re-actively to address customer and client needs
  • Have a flexible approach to the role and work with the Head Concierge and client to ensure all shifts are covered
  • Administer and sell Centre gift cards, explaining to all purchasing customers how this service can be used
  • Work confidently on technology to provide customers with all requested information – e.g. iPad tablets and phones.
  • Ensure that customers experience a positive and lasting impression when entering and exiting the Centre.
