Miles of Momentum

Throughout the month of September, members from the Bentall Centre Management Team took part in the ‘Miles for Momentum’ campaign to raise much needed funds for Momentum Children’s Charity.

Walking, running, cycling and rowing over 1600 miles from Cornwall to Kew and Kent to the Isle of Wight, the team raced their way to raising over £500.

During the Coronavirus pandemic small local charities such as Momentum Children’s Charity have missed out on lots of fundraising opportunities and have struggled to do the much needed work looking after local children and their families.

Who are Momentum Children’s Charity?

Momentum Children’s Charity is a local organisation based in Kingston, who support children with cancer and life-challenging conditions.

Their family support workers offer tailored practical and emotional help to the entire family through our unique support programme at home and in hospital, which includes therapy services, counselling, respite breaks and experiences.

They work hard to improve the environment for children treated in local hospitals and work to refurbish children’s wards.

At any one time they work to support around 200 families whose children are in treatment and a further 75 bereaved families, across South West London, Surrey and West Sussex.

Over the coming month’s the Bentall Centre Management Team will be holding lots of (covid secure) fundraising activities so keep your eyes peeled!
