Vacancy: Floor Manager
 
Department: Operations / Store Operations
 
Reports To: Store Manager / Operations Manager
 
Role Overview
 
The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities on the shop floor, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth operations, and strong team performance. This role helps maintain high standards in presentation, productivity, and compliance while supporting staff and resolving issues in real time.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily floor operations and ensure everything runs efficiently
  • Lead, support, and motivate team members during shifts
  • Deliver and maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-spot coaching
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally
  • Ensure the floor is clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing
  • Coordinate staffing levels, breaks, and shift coverage
  • Monitor stock availability and support replenishment when needed
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety rules, and security standards
  • Support sales targets and operational KPIs
  • Work closely with other supervisors or managers to improve store or venue performance
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures

 

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead by example and make decisions quickly
  • Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if needed
 
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing operations
  • Basic understanding of sales reporting, stock control, and team scheduling
  • Familiarity with health and safety procedures
